Project Description

The Cordillera Complex—name given to the run-of-the-river power plants built by AES Gener S.A. at the Colorado and Maipo river canyon—contains Alfalfal 1 hydroelectric project, which began its operations in 1991 with an installed power of 178 MW.

Our Participation

We participated in the design stage by revising and validating the geological engineering of the underground excavations at a basic design level. Additionally, during the construction, we acted as the geological engineering counterpart on site, representing the client in support solution validation for the contemplated tunnels.
